AfriChat is the premier international business conference focused on engendering a mutually beneficial and endearing business relationship between Africans in various forms of trade and their counterparts in China. With the goal of “Breaking Business Barriers,” this international conference seeks to stimulate ease of doing business in the areas of finance, logistics, culture, customer relationship and regulatory issues.

AfriChat is driven by a strong value proposition as it offers participants that unique chance to harness emerging opportunities for business growth and wealth creation. It also educates participants on time-tested methods to avoid pitfalls in international business relationships that impact negatively on business growth and expansion.

The 2022 AfriChat conference will take place in the second quarter of 2022 at the Sofitel Guangzhou Sunrich Hotel, Guangzhou, China.

To register, visit the AfriChat website and complete the online registration form. AfriChat accepts all major credit cards: Visa, MasterCard, Verve etc.

The fees vary based on when you are registering for the conference (we have discounts for early registration and penalties for late and on-site registration). Please visit the registration page for deadlines, rates, and other registration information.

We accept payment online with Visa, MasterCard or Verve.

Once your registration is finalized, you will receive a confirmation email indicating that you are officially registered and shows what your name tag information will look like. You will receive an Official Receipt, via email again, as proof of payment. In addition, your name will appear in the list of registered attendees.

The registration fee includes access to all plenary sessions and panel discussion. When you check-in at the registration desk, you will receive a delegate bag, which includes copies of the conference program, your name tag, stationeries and other relevant information.

The registration fee covers access to coffee/tea break, and a buffet lunch or dinner, during the two full days of the conference.

If you will need assistance in booking for a hotel, you will have to indicate while registering for the conference. We will strive to work with select hotels to get a good rate for you.

AfriChat will provide letters of invitation upon request to registrants only when participants have fully registered for the conference. The invitation letter will not replace other visa requirements from the Chinese government.

Not necessarily. However, we encourage potential participants to sign on to AfriChat using an email and password prior to registering for the Conference. This will enable you to receive critical information on the Conference and other information relating to Africa-China Trade relations.

AfriChat does not offer any daily rates. Any member wishing to participate in any part of the conference is required to register for the two days the conference will take place.

By the nature of the conference, cancellation in any guise will place AfriChat at a difficult situation since all arrangements would have been concluded months before the date of the Conference. Specifically, in consideration of the size of the Conference, we make many of our arrangements well in advance and therefore cancellations come with a cost to AfriChat. Consequently, cancellations will not be honored.

If participants are unable to attend for any reason, they should should communicate to the registration desk via e-mail at register@dev.obact.in.

Plenary sessions are usually lectures or speeches designed to appeal to all conference attendees.

A certificate of attendance will be issued to attendees at the venue but can also be made available upon request by emailing registration@dev.obact.in at the end of the conference in the event it was not picked up at the conference venue.

AfriChat will not be able to assist with travel or registration costs. However, this might be possible from our partners and conference sponsors.

Once confirmed, a full conference schedule including keynotes, plenary sessions and panel discussions, will be posted on the conference website.
