AfriChat, while carrying out the business of conference management, is committed to protecting your personal information. Our activities are carried out through our parent company, Gotcha Communications Limited (www.gotcha.ng) operating out of 40 Sam Ajayi Street, Magodo GRA Phase 2, Lagos State, Nigeria. Facilitate the use of badge scanners at AfriChat conferences To analyze attendance with a view to improving service delivery in our conferences. Sponsors may also scan your badge to capture their own and leads It is in our legitimate business interest to understand if you attended our event to improve the conference experience.By consenting to the sponsor scanning your badge, you agree to your personal details being transferred to that organization.

Videography and Photography

We use personal data captured during video footage at our exhibitions and events to promote our conferences on partner TV stations, YouTube Channel, Facebook, LinkedIn, media organizations, and Conference website, to amplify our activities to a broader audience.

By taking part in an interview, you agree to how AfriChat will use your personal data in the form of imagery and contact details. Note that we do not seek permission for the general recording of the conference proceedings. However, if a participant asks us to not to include them in the shot, due to a concern about privacy, we should generally do so, unless it is editorially justified to continue. You can update your preferences at any time by sending your request to enquiries@dev.obact.in.

Use of Cookies

We use cookies to gather information about your visit to our website and to keep track of your preferences and browsing patterns, building up a demographic profile. This helps us to improve our websites, including features, content and functionality.

AfriChat is an international conference for African and Chinese traders. AfriChat operates on a membership

Third-Party Services

AfriChat uses third-party services to help maintain the security and performance of AfriChat websites. To deliver this service, it processes the IP addresses of visitors to AfriChat websites. AfriChat website does not store credit card details.

We also use third-party services and systems to provide some functions on our websites, and other marketing functions. These include social media platforms, web analytics services, conference apps, conference registration services, media auditing services and exhibition catalogue publishers. We do not store credit card details on our servers, and all transactions are processed through a gateway provider. AfriChat cannot be held responsible for any external events outside of our control, which may prevent you from attending AfriChat conference. Subject Access Request

You have the right to see what personal data we hold about you. We aim to provide you with all a file of all the information we hold on you within 30 days. We may not be able to provide you with information we hold about you if it would unreasonably affect the privacy of another individual or if by giving you access it poses a severe threat to another individual). Transferring Personal Data
